With the power off to some 6,500 Lakewood homes until later this evening, and the extreme temperatures check on elderly or neighbors in need. Lakewood safety services, Fire, Police and Health and Human Services have received many calls about people in need of a break from the heat, water, or other things.
Make sure there is water for pets and animals.
Lakewood is about community, it is what community members do.
