Two Robberies Sunday Morning - Be Aware

This past Sunday Morning between the hours of Midnight and 2:30am.

The first was on Sloane Avenue, was a woman was hit from behind and her purse was taken. It was later recovered on Lorain near W140th St.

The second was around 2 am when two hooded black males approached a woman in her car pointed a gun at her through the window and demanded her purse. Then fled north on Gladys on the west side of the street, later correcting that to the east side. The victim thought they might have gotten into a car as she heard car doors and a car drive away down the street.

Lakewood police would love to hear from you if you know or saw anything that could help them solve these two robberies.

The good news, these are generally crimes of opportunities. Not planned out. they can happen anywhere.
