Name The New School At Kaufman Park!
My personal choice is Ronald Reagan Elementray School. The name for the new and restored baseball field/entertainment/playground should be Carter Field.

I dont know about the school but since the park is named after a baseball player, and former mayor (if I remember correctly) how about we just leave the park connecting to the school as Kaufman. Or do we want to become one of those cities that renames everything after somebody newer every 20 years.
Bill,
Was this meant to be wishful thinking or are you hoping for a self fulfilling prophecy?

Once you give something a name it passes from shadow to reality.Christopher Bindel wrote:Bill,

Good point about naming and renaming.
How about White Sox Field in honor of the Chicago team that played in the 1919 World Series?

With 20 acres of school/recreation/entertainment/education/environmental green space in the middle of the City perhaps we could sell the naming rights to the Cleveland Clinic.dl meckes wrote:Lakewood Hospital Elementary

An organization that paid $1 million for a reflecting pond might be willing to pay something for the naming rights.
On the other hand there might be a group willing to pay more to make sure the name is not Ronald Reagan Elementary School.
