Kid's Playground Opens At Madison Park

Image

Last Saturday was the official opening of the new Kid's Playground at Madison Park.
It was a great way to spend a Saturday morning.

Thanks to all members of "Friends of Madison Park," members of the city, and
Anderson Construction for the hard work on this project.

Looks like a whole lot of fun. We still haven't made it over there, but today is the day. Can't wait to see it in real life.

If I remember correctly, didn't these folks start this with a conversation on here?

Beautiful pictures. The kids look very, very happy.

Good job all and thank you.

I took the kids there today and man was it packed. It is an awesome playground and the kids were having a blast. Mary Louise Madigan stopped by to check out how everything was running. It was nice to chat with her. She explained how low maintenance the park is and I think that is fabulous. It was a bit packed and there were a few older trouble makers but other than that it was perfect. The librarian and an officer came over and handled the ones causing problems which was very nice. This is a great thing for Lakewood. We plan on spending many afternoons there. Many thanks to all those involved, you guys did a fabulous job.
