Levi Stubbs, lead singer of the Four Tops died yesterday.

You might wonder why I would post this in the Lakewood thread.

Well, there's a whole bunch of us who used to cruise the streets with the AM radio tuned to CKLW, KYW,or the greatest--------WIXY 1260 listening and singing to the great Motown tunes of the 60s.

Just try, try NOT to sing along with Sugar Pie Honey Bunch, or Baby I Need Your Lovin. Can't be done.

Cruisin through the brand new McDonalds, parking lot behind Manners and in Manners. Over to Beardens, down to Lakewood Park. Maybe even down the Valley if you were gonna be seriousl.

Man....I'd trade that Bearden's for the Marc's plaza anyday.....

Not to mention Manner's Diamond Jims with a shake and strawberry pie!

BUT...if you were really serious, it was down to Perkin's beach!
