LCofC 1st Annual Celebrity Roast

Post by Jim O'Bryan »

My photo gallery from last night's Lakewood Chamber of Commerce's 1st Annual Celebrity Roast, will be up Monday.

Roasted were Schoolboard President Chas. Geiger and Lakewood Hospital's President Jack Gustin.

Don’t Tell Chas and Jack But...
A Roast,
in North American English,
is an event in which an individual is
subject to publicly bearing comedic insults,
praise, outlandish true and untrue stories,
racial stereotypes and heartwarming tributes.
The implication being that the roastee
is able to take the jokes in good faith and
as not being serious criticism or insult,
and therefore showing their good nature.
It is seen as a great honor to be roasted,
as the individual is surrounded by friends,
fans, and well-wishers, who can receive some
of the same treatment as well during
the course of the evening. The party
and presentation itself are both
referred to as a roast. The host of the
event is called the roastmaster.
Anyone who is honored in such a way
is said to have been "roasted".

Master of Ceremonies was Chip Kullick, radio personality and
owner of Physicians Weight Loss Centers (West) at 14650 Detroit
Road, Suite 105 (216) 226-PWLC. Believe me, if there is one thing
we learned, it was that!

Tim Lasky who is a funny guy anyway, has us howling
explaining Chas' hard work ethics at Geiger's.

to tell the truth.

Almost 75 images from a night of fun. Both Chas Geiger and Jack Gustin were good sports on a night when Chip Kullick, radio personality and owner of Physicians Weight Loss Centers (West) at 14650 Detroit Road, Suite 105 (216) 226-PWLC. was calling for a little more blue humor.

Congratulations to the Lakewood Chamber of Commerce, Kathy Berkshire and Jennifer Scott on a great kick off to what I hope becomes an annual fundraiser. Wine from Rozi's always nice.
