LHS Teacher Dr. Chuck Greanoff Selected Honorary Captain

Post by marklingm »

Congratulations Chuck!
The Lakewood Alumni Foundation wrote:The Lakewood Alumni Foundation, together with the Lakewood Athletic Department, congratulates Dr. Chuck Greanoff who will serve as Honorary Captain at Friday’s game between the Lakewood Rangers and the North Olmsted Eagles. As Honorary Captain, Dr. Greanoff will visit the locker room, participate in the pregame coin toss, and have the opportunity to observe the game from the sidelines. He will be the Foundation’s guest at the Kickoff Cookout prior to the game.

Dr. Greanoff has long been a presence at Lakewood Ranger Athletic Events, both home and away, for every sport. His support of Lakewood Athletics has not gone unnoticed by our student athletes who comment how they appreciate that he truly embodies the Lakewood Ranger spirit. Dr. Greanoff is a 1977 graduate of Lakewood High School where he lettered in baseball. He presently teaches in the social studies department at the high school.

Tickets for the Kickoff Cookout, which includes a dinner and game admission, will be available through Thursday at the Ranger Shop at Lakewood High School or by calling the Alumni Office at 529-4033.

Congratulations, Chuck! Just make sure the game turns out the right way, if you know what I mean.

Dr. Chuck is livin' the dream.
Nothin' shakin' on Shakedown Street.
Used to be the heart of town.
Don't tell me this town ain't got no heart.
You just gotta poke around.
