Huge problem for Lakewood

Post by Jim O'Bryan »

Last night while watching the Republican Convention I found out the only difference between a PitBull and a Hockey Mom was lipstick.

Do the dog wardens in Lakewood know this?

Are they prepared to check all hockey moms?

Are hockey moms even legal in Lakewood today?

Will hockey moms be grandfathered in?

If a PitBull owner puts lipstick on their dog will it be more legal than a muzzle?

This could be a huge problem for Lakewood.

FWIW

OMG I seriously just spit out my coffee all over my laptop laughing so hard.
I missed the convention last night...I was sleeping as I found that to be a better use of my time. LOL.

David-

It's no different than Ronnie RayGun using Bruce Springsteen's "Born in the USA" as a re-election theme because George Will liked the refrain.

Springsteen was fairly polite about it, as was John Mellencamp, when he asked John McCain's people to quit playing his music at rallies.

Lyrics mean nothing.

On a side note, the instrumental "Theme From M.A.S.H." was very popular ("Suicide is Painless").

I personally prefer Joey Ramone's "I Wanna Be Sedated" although there are far more than 24 hours to wait before this election will be over.

Dick Tuck used to tell people that "Mack the Knife" was Richard Nixon's favorite song so they would play it for him at rallies...

I'd never heard of a Pit Bull with lipstick, but I have heard that you can't put lipstick on a pig.

There is also a little saying "You can't make a silk purse out of a sows ear".

Ivor will need to buy them on his own.

Have you learned nothing from the Republicans? Do nothing, but cut off the sows ear, and call it a silk purse. It is that easy. At least 46% of America will see it as the most beautiful silk purse ever made.

I don't know David seems like they nailed it.

Lyrics to Barracuda

So this aint the end -
I saw you again today
I had to turn my heart away
Smiled like the sun -
Kisses for real
And tales - it never fails!

You lying so low in the weeds
I bet you gonna ambush me
Youd have me down down down down on my knees
Now wouldnt you, barracuda?

Back over time we were all
Trying for free
You met the porpoise and me
No right no wrong, selling a song-
A name, whisper game.

If the real thing dont do the trick
You better make up something quick
You gonna burn burn burn burn it to the wick
Ooooooh, barracuda?

Sell me sell you the porpoise said
Dive down deep down to save my head
You...i think you got the blues too.

All that night and all the next
Swam without looking back
Made for the western pools - silly fools!

If the real thing dont do the trick
No, you better make up something quick
You gonna burn burn burn burn it to the wick
Ooooooohhhh, barra barracuda.

Ohhhhhhhhhhhh

As long as they pay for the use (ASCAP, etc.), they can play whatever they want.
