Did you lose your dog?

Post by Beajay Michaud »

I found two dogs in my front yard this morning. One very old Black Lab Mix female and an older American Foxhound/Bagle mix male. Both very sweet.

I called Animal control and they are closed so I call lakewood Police. They told me they can't pick them up either, and that I should just let them run the streets.

No luck yet huh?

I love their "safe" approach to dog control out here. Second time in a month I have seen them tell people to "just" let the dogs go?
Wow.my dog is out on my porch for 5 minutes and they send swat?

Hmm scary....no common sense involved in the mentality here about safety, since any dog can do damage, I would be cautious of any dog let to run loose here if my kids are out riding their bikes or playing?

Makes you think huh?

I am sure if they are older someone will claim them...
Wish I could have helped more Bea...sorry
My bad yard doesn't keep a poodle in it...and I would never make dogs suffer in the kennel they wanted me to put mine in.....Let me know if I can help anymore if they don't come out to get them, I can print some signs for you and put them up at the plaza or Pet's Supply?

The police will always tell you to let the dogs go. They did to me for the Rottweiler. Yeah but you know the pits are the dangerous ones. Yeah not the police telling people "let the dog go".
If you need help with them you can email me and I can tell you a place that will take them. They took the Rotti for me and found her owner.
