Honey Hive visits LEAF night
Back by popular demand! Local bee keepers from the Honey Hive are back in Lakewood this week!
Home made honey products will be available this Thursday, from 5:30 - 8:00 pm at the LEAF night in front of the Lakewood public library main branch.
See you there!

Is this night visit only worthwhile if you get a distribution from the growers or are there things to purchase for non-members? I mean this typically, not just on nights when honey is there (I am a honey addict and I will flock to it like...something).
Also, on unrelated note, has the market started on Wednesdays at Kaufman Park? I got into late into the season last year and I want to be sure I take advantage of that more this year.
Thanks!

Yesterday was the second week of the Farmers Market. Not a whole lot there just yet. Plants and flowers, really nice lettuce, a couple bakeries. I got some strawberries and aspargus yesterday, but it's too early for most veggies.Phil Florian wrote:Also, on unrelated note, has the market started on Wednesdays at Kaufman Park? Check out Keke's for cookies and candy. They're just starting out and only sell at Farmers Markets, but it's good stuff. I'm partial to the turtles and the pistachio/toffee/cranberry chocolate bar. They're really nice.
Be the change you want to see in the world.

Sorry for the late reply. I will answer everyone's questions:
Everyone can visit LEAF night - not only shareholders! There is usually a guest vendor, and we are anxiously awaiting the start of the art and music guests.
The Covered Bridge CSA program will start on June 26th.
See you next week!
