NEWS RELEASE

On Wednesday April 23rd, 2008 the Lakewood Police Department received a request for assistance from the Cleveland Office of the ATF. Information had been developed of a 33yr old Lakewood man that had been electronically corresponding with a juvenile in Indiana about making plans to commit a shooting incident at an Indiana school. The St. Josephs County Prosecutors Office in Indiana had been investigating this matter and made an arrest of an Indiana juvenile. Information was relayed to the ATF and they subsequently requested the assistance of the Lakewood Police Department.
Information was developed, and upon consultation with the Cuyahoga County Prosecutors Office, was presented to the Honorable Judge Holly Gallagher of the Cuyahoga County Common Pleas Court for a search warrant of the Lakewood suspects residence. On April 24th, 2008, the Lakewood Police Department and the WestShore Enforcement Bureau SWAT Team executed the search warrant at 1687 Robinwood Ave. #102, Lakewood Ohio. Confiscated during the search were a computer, computer disks, papers, books, and 3 partial boxes of handgun ammunition. Subsequent to the search the Lakewood Police Department placed the resident, LEE M. BILLI, 33yrs of 1687 Robinwood #102 under arrest for Conspiracy.
BILLI is currently in Lakewood City Jail awaiting transport to the Cuyahoga County Jail where he will be arraigned before a Judge of the Common Pleas Court and officially charged. The investigation is continuing.
