Seeking Silent Auction Items for Lakewood Animal Shelter

Post by Mike Deneen »

Greetings!

CCLAS is holding its annual "Hair of the Dog" Happy Hour on Thursday, May 22 at 5:30 at Sullivans.

We are seeking donations for our silent auction. All donations are tax deductible, and all donors will be recognized at the event.

Your support is especially needed this year, as the region faces a growing homeless pet population, a byproduct of the foreclosure crisis.

If you have any items you would like to donate, contact me via PM or give me a call at 216-226-5536.

Thanks,
Mike

We have received a wide range of products and services in the past.

Items have included gift cards and certificates, pet items, art work, sports and event tickets, jewelry, wine, t-shirts and more. We especially enjoy unusual local items like the Chef Geoff apron and LO delivery bags (Jim is always one of our best supporters!)

Some folks donate services. For example, Councilman Butler has donated a home cooked meal each year.....he actually goes to the winner's home and prepares a gourmet meal. That's traditionally one of our most popular prizes.

The larger and more valuable items tend to auctioned off individually.
Smaller or less valualbe items are grouped together in packages, often with a common theme.

I did not know that Mr.Butler can cook!

who would've guessed! I'm impressed.

Good luck with the auction!
