[Gripe Free]People having fun...

Post by Joe Ott »

My daughter and I discovered, thanks to Gary Rice, there is a place in Lakewood where a nice community gathering takes place pretty much every Monday night.

On these Monday nights, in addition to live music and singing taking place, there are people socializing, working on laptops, studying, and just having a good time with friends and strangers. All sorts of people from kids to grandparents. Most are usually enjoying a good cup of coffee or other drink and snacks too.

You might recall I've stumbledinto this place before.

I have no affiliation with the Phoenix Coffee shop, just a satisfied customer. I invite any of you to go there. Especially on a Monday evening.

Here are a few shots from my last visit. Just people having a good time.

The young lady above is one heck of a singer. She is very good with Janis Joplin songs.

Thanks for posting this Joe!! I thought I was too old to hang out there but you have me convinced to bring my books and try it, like the young students!!!

The only problem with the Phoenix is that there are not enough chairs...

You're never too old Justine. I think going back to school is the great equalizer. :)

I may head up there Saturday afternoon to work on my Calculus. Now that's painful.
