2008 promises to be a great year in Lakewood for film buffs.
“The Lakewood Film Belt Film Festival†is an emerging indie cultural development upon which to keep our eyes peeled. A Saturday in September at the Detroit Theater is the present hope.
One cult classic under consideration is Ted Sikora’s Hero Tomorrow.

In an enhancement to “Lakewood Public Cinema,†Lakewood Public Library will introduce a “Five Star Film†and lecture series with Barbara Steffek-Hill . Ms. Steffek-Hill has assembled great films from around the world, including Tango (Argentina - Carlos Saura), Mostly Martha (Germany – Sandra Nettelbeck,) and The Lighthorseman (Australia – Simon Wincer)
