This year marks our organization’s, Jordan’s Family Foundation 501(c)(3), third annual wine tasting to raise awareness of Congenital Heart Disease. The fundraising event will take place at Rozi’s Wine House (14900 Detroit Avenue, Lakewood, Ohio) on Thursday night, February 7th from 6-9pm.
The line up for the event consists of heart-healthy gourmet dishes prepared by Lolita’s (Cleveland, Ohio) Executive Chef, Matt Harlan. The food will be paired with exquisite red wine samplings from award-winning St. Supery Vineyards, Napa Valley, presented by their famed winemaker, Tom Rees. Admission to the event is $25 per person which includes all wines sampled and gourmet menu pairings (heart-healthy conscious). There will also be Cleveland Clinic Cardiologists on hand to show support and answer any questions relating to their field of medicine. There will be door prizes, a silent auction, and a raffle. The proceeds will benefit The Cleveland Clinic Children's Hospital and Jordan's Family Foundation. No reservations required.
For more information I can be contacted at JordansFamilyFoundation@yahoo.com or easily reached by telephone at 216-221-0147.
The Jordan Family Foundation is dedicated to raising awareness and funding for the research and development of Congenital Heart Diseases. Our efforts in raising awareness include public speaking at various events and functions as well providing information pertaining to general heart care and preventative techniques in order to help create and maintain a healthier, happier heart. Fundraising events take place continually throughout the year but are highlighted by our large wine tasting extravaganza in February (national Heart Awareness Month) which includes pediatric cardiologists, culinary specialists and winemakers to discuss the importance and benefits of a heart-healthy diet.
In the past two years Jordan’s Family Foundation has raised enough money to donate thousands of dollars to many organizations such as the Cleveland Clinic Children’s Hospital Cardiac Research Division and for support groups including the Congenital Heart Information Network (CHIN). We have also spoken at PTA functions, Chamber of Commerce meetings, and have had an interactive and informative booth at local children’s events such as “Meet the Trucks†(which was attended by more than one thousand children).
Our plans for the future include continual fundraising for research and development, public speaking appointments for raising awareness of CHD--the most prominent birth defect in the world, though greatly overlooked in research funding, and to work closely with local medical facilities to help aid in the study of CHDs. Jordan’s Family Foundation will forever help in everyway possible with any and all advancements in the field of Congenital Heart Disease.

I hope to see as many Observers and residents as possible at this Fundraiser. It's for a great cause and Corey and Kara are wonderful neighbors. Actually, Corey is just a wiseguy, but Kara is really nice.
Truly, please come out and support the Foundation and the children it serves; and help out longtime Lakewood residents and business owners working here in the heart of the City.

jordan family foundation fundraiser
what fun! the wine tasting and food were fantastic. a nice turnout of people showed up for eating, drinking, and buying raffle tickets/silent auction items.
needless to say i had no luck on the silent auction but fared OK on the raffle-
autographed baseball, pitt. pirates tickets , and a gift cert.. - not bad. we will see everybody next year.
p.s. it's a nice stretch of the legs from either end of lakewood for a nice walk
(it will make you hungry and thirsty)
