Make Your Holiday Season a Little Brighter .....and purchase a Luminaria Kit from Boy Scout Troop 211!

We encourage you to light up your holiday nights with the warm glow of luminaria. Perfect for any special holiday occasion, luminarias are a festive way to decorate your home. Kits of luminaria are available for $10. Get together with your neighbors to light up your street and Lakewood for the holidays!

Luminary derives from Latin luminare, "a window," from lumin or lumen, "light. This Spanish custom included lighting bonfires to guide the Christ Child into people's homes during the holiday season. The tradition has evolved into using paper bags with sand and candles inside for the purpose of guiding guests to the household.
