No outages last night... I live on Hilliard near Riverside. We usually experiences outages in the summer and spring.

none last night, but i remember during the summer it would happen A LOT.
I'm a few blocks away from you Rick. I don't think we're on the same grid. My neighbors across the street had power, but the ones behind us didn't so it wasn't going your direction.

The Madison Branch Library lost power around 5:25 last night.
We heard there was a electric pole that caught fire on Clarence and Athens. FWIW.

We had alot of them 18 month ago. I complained to First Energy in April of this year to give them fair warning that the grid for just east of the hospital seems to not handle the load well. After some comments that would make great examples for how not to handle customer service, it was clarified that improvements were made or planned. We didn't have a problem all summer.
For sake of full disclosure and so I don't seem unfair or unappreciative, the Mayor was very responsive once he was cc'ed on the emails. It certainly changed the tone of customer service at the utility company once someone more important than customer 2483 got involved.
