The Lakewood Observer is not for sale and it is not closing.
"Reports of LO's demise are greatly exaggerated."
We have long term contracts that will allow the paper to continue, even without the board or myself.
One or more are calling advertisers, and others and telling them we are closing, going out of business, for sale whatever. It is not true.
There are many changes coming, and it is slower than I thought. Amongst them are the Observer becoming a non-profit with all funds going to the city and civic groups. We can only think this way because of the long term support given this project.
The rumors of other Observers is true, and will unveil them as it happens. This also secures the long term future of the Lakewood Observer. We have added some new advisers and will unveil them when the time is right.
After hearing it from the third advertiser, I wanted to make sure the truth was out there.
Thanks for the support, for Lakewood's community owned paper.
