A Truly Awesome Idea for the Giant Eagle Building

Post by sharon kinsella »

I think we should think outside the box, outside many boxes as a matter of fact.

Every time I see a large vacant building, I always wish someone would put in a Roller Rink.

We could have Blazin Bladers Friday nites, Rollout the Family Saturdays. Rock and Roll Teens Hop and Bop on Saturday nites. Do you know how much the kids would love a roller skating mosh pit?

Pokey, Padded Tuesdays where the seniors would dominate (with lots of safety gear).

Lakewood could be the Roll in Rock and Roll Capitol for Metro Cleveland.

I will be so glad when the elections are over.

:?: So would we be like a farm club for the Burning River Roller Babes?

Or, maybe, this could be the home rink?

Home rink for the Burning River women.

How much fun would that be?

Why not add upscale shopping and condos, and leave Kaufman Parlk alone?

But a roller rink would be more fun. There is so much upscale shopping very close to us.

Over the bridge into Rocky River, right where the Beachwood is there is a couple of ridiculously over priced stores, chicos etc.

Then a short trip down I 90 is the Crocker Park overdone monstrosity, but it does have a Cheese Cake factory and a very good first run theater, multi-plex.

But no one has an awesome roller rink anymore!

Sounds interesting, although I have no clue if it would pull enough revenue to sustain itself.

How about a new quality movie theater in Lakewood to replace the awful Detroit one?

The rink sounds like a great idea, where do I pick up my PSL for a locker on the 50 yard line? Xanadu's rebirth could be on Mainstreet Lakewood, USA.

Will a mullet and a concert t-shirt from the Cars 1981 "Shake it Up" tour be required for entry? Will we be able to have access to Donkey Kong and Frogger?
