If your into billiards, and can afford to pay for a museum piece, then check out this link.

Me being an avid billiard player, this is the holy grail of billiards cues.

Maybe someone on the Deck might appreciate it and want to own it. How great it would be just to be in our city.

But, this billiard cue should be owned by someone in OUR city.

Was that the type of cue they used in the Color of Money?

Yes and No.

In the Color of Money, they said they were using a Balabushka, and they did make a big deal about it, but for an unknown reason, they were actually using a Joss cue, which was made to look like a Balabushka.

Maybe the people in charge of the budget in making the movie didn't want to spend the money for an original or could not find one to use for camera shots. I have no idea but now I need to know. Even the Joss they did use, copying the Balabushka currantly sells for 600+.

There still is a company making Balabushka cues, by permission of his wife. He passed some time ago. The company sells many of them, and the company touts that they are made with modern equipment, but to George Balabusha's specifications.
