Thank You Lakewood

Post by Dan Shields »

To all Lakewood voters:

My family and I would like to thank everyone who came out on a beautiful Lakewood fall day to vote. It was a nice day, but it is still difficult to juggle family and work schedules to get out to the polls. Kathy and I appreciate the tremendous support we received, and look forward to continuing to meet and work with our neighbors here in Ward 2 to create positive solutions to the challenges that face our city.

Congratulations to Tom Bullock on the primary win, and a special congratulations to Tom Gallagher, whom I met yesterday at the polls and with whom I enjoyed a lively discussion about Lakewood while we made our final push for voters. It is my sincere desire that he remain active in Lakewood politics, as he has an upbeat, positive attitude, and a great sense of humor to boot. He is an asset to the community.

Dan

Thanks for coming onto the Deck and being 100% total class.

It would seem your "we are not living in hell" message resonated.

Thanks

Dan,

I was glad to proudly display your sign in my front yard. Your name on the sign made the ever-sinking dirt mound it sat on almost a pleasure to look at. Thanks again, Dan, for beautifying Lakewood even with mounds of dirt in the way.

ps My wife made me say it.
