Historic House Series sponsor by the Lakewood Historical Soc

Learn to identify residential architectural styles, practice the techniques of historic preservation, assess structural and stylistic elements and appreciate the intrinsic value of legacy architecture to both the consumer and the community in the series of lectures taught by the faculty of th Historic Preservation degree program of Belmont Technical College, St. Clairsville, Ohio. Anyone completing all four classes will earn the designation "Historic House Specialist" and the right to use a custom logo on cards and stationery.

All classes will be held at 10 am to 2 pm at the Women's Pavilion at Lakewood Park. Cost includes an illustrated manual and a light lunch. $55 per session. $200 for all four sessions when paid in advance. Student prices are $25.

Friday, December 7-Interior Building Pathology: History and evaluation of building interiors & practical preservation solutions to common problems.

Thank you for you input. Your the first person I have heard from since we set up the website on Saturday. I'm glad it is easy to use. It is all thanks to the Lakewood Observer! JOB and Dan Ott have helped us set up this web site!

Just a reminder that our first Old House Series will take place this Friday, October 5th from 10 to 2. The topic is American Architecture: Evolution of architecture through the social, economic, technological, cultural & political changes that shaped it. The cost is $55.00. The class takes place at the Woman's Pavilion in Lakewood Park.

Any chance in the future this series will be offered at night or on weekends for those of us 9-5ers who can't make it during the week because of our jobs?

P.S I did find out the that the lecturer is not available in the evenings for this series.
