That's a great title for a great column by the reliably liberal columist, Richard Cohen.
In year or so the people of this City will be asked to approve a new operating levy for the Lakewood Schools. Before you sign on in support consider what Cohen has to say.

Many in the education bureacracy are divorced from economic reality. If you ask that school board employees pay the employee portion of the pension contribution they have to take to the bed with a case of the vapors.

Bill
I think a more proper title would be,
We can't teach anyone about education after, No Child Left Behind.
FWIW

Reliably liberal? Really?
Richard Cohen inhabits the "liberal" realm of the mainstream media with the likes of Maureen Dowd, Tom Friedman, and Joe Klein. He's kinda like Joe Liebermann, the guy they prop up to give the not really alternative point of view.
I didn't read the article. Just took issue with the faux "reliably liberal" creds.

Perhaps the title should be:
"Presidential candidates jockey for education lobby money but offer no strategy knowing that the Federal government is not responsible for and can barely impact individual state education policies."
The topic of what constitutes real journalism was discussed in another thread. This article offered by Robert Cohen cannot be seriously considered as journalism, can it?
