Gold's Gym

Post by Jim O'Bryan »

Three different birds told me that the Rego family has reached an agreement with Gold's Gym to buy the property on the corner of Bunts and Detroit, that used to be Giant Eagle.

One description of the project calls for a complete tear down with retail on the first floor and the gym on the second and in the back.

Should be nice.

Hopefully it won't be a monstrosity that is the Gold's Gym at Crocker Park...

So...I guess that means that there won"t be a Trader Joe's or a Bob Evans....

If this were the USSR, my vote as central planner would have been for a relocation of Marc's to Rego's property.

What is wrong with the Gold's Gym in Crocker Park? I've never been inside.

Hopefully the gym (if the rumors are true that it's going there) will have an indoor running track, something that the Y is lacking.

Let's just say it dwarfs every other storefront in size.

The runor for retail could put Bob Evans on the first floor or a Trader's Joe. Three eggs, pancakes, raisin muffin, then work out!

All Trader Joe's rumors as of late, have them east of Bunts, and that is all I am saying.

Now if we could just attrack some national chains!

I still think it's funny that everyone wants a Trader Joe's ... but then also doesn't want Aldi's, even though Aldi's owns Trader Joe's.

CD

Why would we want Aldi's we have one. It is much cooler to want what we do not have then shop at what we have.

Humans are hunter gatherers, not hunter users.

It's not strange at all. There's a huge difference between Aldi's and Trader Joes. Just because they're owned by the same parent doesn't make them the same.

pointless anecdote

Post by ryan costa »

millions of years ago, in the late 1980s, I was walking around one night. There was this small gym on the east side of madison. It may have been next to a liquor store, in the same building.

Anyways, I think I saw Bret "The Hitman" Hart lifting weights there as I passed by. In retrospect it seemed like a good gym to pick up some illegal suppliments at.

As a casual walk through either would demonstrate. Gm makes the Hummer. They also make the Aveo.

Yes, I thought the Aveo was a Hummer option instead of an inflatable spare.

Trader Joe's is owned by the CEO of the US Operation of Aldi, but is not owned by Aldi.

The Aveo is made by Daewoo for GM.
