Funeral procession for Lt. Cpl. Daniel R. Scherry, USMC. This 20 year old from Rocky River was killed in Iraq. Coming from Our Lady Of Angels Catholic Church, it turns west on Hillard Blvd. on its way to Lakewood Cemetery. Looking on is Finance Director Jennifer Pae and family, and Alan Rosbick.

i was going to attend the ceremony but didn't. A little while ago LHS had their own graduate who died overseas, and I don't remember Lakewood doing anything other than putting his name in front of the school.
it's a shame.
I think we as citizens should do more to show our support towards the fighting and fallen soldiers overseas. you can question the politics of the war, but you can't question the bravery and courage these soldiers posess.
