While Lakewood is home to the Viktor Shreckengost's largest ceramic sculpture. Cain Park is home to a donation brick from Viktor who live in Cleveland Heights.

wow, weren't you guys scared, going over to Cleveland Heights? After all, that's right next to East Cleveland, the Ghetto Boogeyman that is cited nonstop by folks who think that Lakewood is going to hell in a handbasket because they've seen a person of a different color walking down the sidewalk.
Did you feel a strange sensation as you crossed the Cuyahoga?
Actually, as someone who has lived in Cleveland Heights for a time, I will say that while it's a nice place to rent, I don't think it's a good place to raise a family. And NO, not because of crime or perceive racial issues), but because their schools aren't as good as Lakewood's, their traffic is atrocious, and frankly, it's just not as warm and welcoming as Lakewood has been. Cleveland Heights is nice, but it's also heavily transient. Folks are in Cleveland Heights temporarily. Folks are in Lakewood for generations. That's a big difference to someone wanting to settle down.
We don't regret the move for a second, though it does amuse me that when some people talk about the area around W.117th and call it the ghetto. Though it's also sad, that they're that close-minded, afraid, and bigoted. But you get that in any city.
