Kudos to the City

Post by Lynn Farris »

I often complain when I see problems in the city, because I want the city to be the best.

But I must say that this winter, Don and I have been very impressed with whoever is clearing the streets when it snows. This Sunday morning, when other people couldn't get out, our street was okay (but it is a very little street) but by the time we got to Lake - it was in very good condition.

So whoever is in charge - thank you for making driving this winter easier and safer in Lakewood.

Ditto - I meant to make a post on Easter Sunday, because the road crews that were out plowing and salting were my heroes of the day. They gave up time with their families so that we could all spend time with ours.

That would be those uncaring, lazy city employees that might dare to own a home outside of the city limits, are paid too much, and take too many breaks.

You forgot to mention their health and retirement benefits.....

And, on Monday, when my garbage cans were blocked by all the snow I had cleared from my drive over the weekend, guess which city workers climbed over the snow pile and emptied each can .......and then returned them to their area UPSIDE DOWN so they wouldn't fill with snow......
