James Games: Closed for criminal reasons?

Post by Phil Florian »

Anyone get the scoop on James Games? I heard they closed and had property seized for the crime of receiving (and I guess, selling) stolen goods. That is all I have heard. I hate it when a "mom and pop" business closes down but glad to know it was for reasons other than simply not making money (allegedly, any way). I wondered if anyone in the LO was going to cover the story.

Thanks!

Looks like the Cigs place across the street closed up shop, too. Iffy issues for the IHOP section of Lakewood. Smoke shop left at a bad time, too. They were one of the few places that you could legally smoke...since it was set up prior to the law. A new shop there might not be so lucky...or care, based on some responses of the bars in the area. Hopefully these shops will fill up again with something new soon. There should be something in that old cig shop to take advantage of the fact there is a movie theater next door. Hmm...
