the smell from the emerald canyon

Post by Sue Cliffel »

I can only shut my windows when the waste water treatment plant burps. Almost every evening and early morning for the past few weeks the smell has been awful. Last night, it was utterly overpowering.

Is anyone else on the northern rim noticing this?

It seems to happen every summer at the end of August when the rain slows down.

I used to live at the Harborview apts., and remember the smell. It seemed to become stronger in the late summer. Mixed in with the smell of wings from ATC, it was that much more obnoxious.

From growing up on W Clifton it seems to travel down the middle of the street, I never really could smell it from the back yard. Maybe just selective memory.
