Lakewood Goes Big League

Post by Mike Deneen »

For the second consecutive year, the Atlanta Braves will be holding an open tryout here in Lakewood.

The tryout will be at 9am Thursday at the Lakewood High School field.

Congratulations to LHS! This field, remodeled in 2005, is among the finest in the entire state, and has earned the attention of big league clubs.

Those of us in the 30+ crowd can put away the Ben-Gay. Only players 16-23 are allowed to participate, and minors need to have parental permission.
