Well, the Indians aren't exactly panning out so far this year, but the Lakewood High baseball team is having a very fine season. They are in the final field of 64 in the State baseball tournament. Coach Gruss has done a great job with a scrappy bunch of kids.

They will be in action Monday at the Tri-C West campus in Parma as part of a huge baseball tournament doubleheader.

At 4pm Ed's and Ignatius will square off, followed by a game between Lakewood and Midpark.

The winners of the two games will meet Tueday, with the winner of that game advancing to the "Sweet Sixteen".

Resident LO beatman Ivor will be there to document the occasion, but feel free to head out to Parma to cheer the team on in person.
