Hayes Construction: Wha' happened to the trees??

Gah! I live down the street from Hayes. My wife and I were fairly involved in the planning meetings put on by the school district that helped determined which schools we would fix or replace. In the Hayes plan (which we were most concerned about, of course, since our kids will go there) there were questions about the playground's giant trees. The plan intended to keep them intact as they were lovely old trees and great shade for that part of the lot. Apparently, that wasn't part of the plan. Looking at the plot we now have I think one of the smaller trees left alone and all the rest were destroyed.

Booooo!! Grrr...
