These questions are not out of my own ignorance. I point these out , since I have been asked these questions by other people in our city, in the course of some discussions. Points: Asked by a restaurant owner who's restaurant is standing idle, "why is Lkwd anti-business?" In that particular case I don't know the details, but it IS a question. Also, why does anyone have to spend their money OUT of our city for so many things? Pair of Levis? Good selection of audio equipment? Yes we are a "residential city" but why are "we" the citizens of Lkwd, or at least of this forum, fairly passing over that we COULD draw business to our city?
Could not Berea Rd be developed to a shopping area? Ok it's a long shot, but still a point to discuss.
Another example to highlight, the Hyatt Regency in downtown Columbus. It has a mall UNDER it. Saves space but does the job quit nicely. More business would bring ....well the rest is self explanatory.
Any of this worth kicking around, verbally ?

Just got back from a meeting of two groups working together to bring businesses into this city. Both are grass roots groups started by stores, they have some very serious ideas and I believe after a meeting or two it could be something the Lakewood Observer could get behind.
