Photography of Lakewood celebrating Halloween!
I finally got my own gallery started, I wasn't too sure whether or not to give the photo's to Jim O'Bryan to post on the Observer galleries or to take care of things myself.
Well, Here we go http://www.flickr.com/photos/79309068@N00/sets/
There are three folders,
Wildlife and Nature shots I took around my yard,
The Halloween festivities around my street,
and Metro parks pictures I took last weekend!
ENJOY!
I will be posting more pictures as I take more- I'll be starting a "Day in the Life of a Lakewood High School Student" project soon, just to show everyone the "lovely" things we have to go through in school every day.
criticism and comments are always appreciated!

Dear Rad,
Your photos are excellent. Can you tell me what kind of camera you used for these? I'm looking for a decent digital camera - not too complicated. I would use it mostly for the family, some artistic photos (a hobby) and emailing images to family and friends. Of course a good deal money-wise is always a plus! Can't spend the college fund (what college fund?) if ya know what I mean.
Thanks! Ellen M.

I forgot to ask...are you only in High School...if so these are great shots..keep up the good work...i have been dabbling since college and still have allot to learn....and I am safe to say over 50. So any criticism from you would be helpful too.
You should really enter some competitions....especially the nature ones..if you have not already entered.
Email me and I will let you you know where...I'm sure you could win some competitions with these photos...
Goodluck,
Rhonda Loje

Great Photos
I am especially pleased to see the one captioned as "Scream". I would love to get a copy of that one.
Thanks for the plug!

thanks all for the wonderful comments!
Jim and I are going to post a gallery of pictures on the observer site as well, so that people wouldn't have to click on a billion different links and it would just be much easier to have everything on the observer site.
As far as other pictures go, that link will be good for my personal projects or just photo's in general, but I'm still looking for a few photo essays to get started on. Those will be put on the Observer gallery website because Jim's been kind enough to let me have some space on the site to use.
Thanks again for all the wonderful comments, I hope everyone enjoy's the Photos!

Ellen,
The camera I used for my pictures is a Olympus Evolt-300. It's a DSLR camera and has 8.1 mega-pixel (a bit more than the average camera).
I upgraded from a Olympus C-5050.... I love that camera and the capabilities of it are amazing, plus it wont cost you as much as the E-300 which can go for $799 alone without lenses, lenses cost $250 and $280 each...
There's kits that are available online and I was lucky enough to find one on the E-300 that would give me a whole list of items such as lenses, filters, memory card and what not for a dirt cheap price.
www.dpreview.com is a very reliable source for reviews of cameras. I would look into the Olympus C-5050 if I was you, because not only is it GREAT for art photography but you can capture all the moments with it and not have to go through any hassles. Thanks for the comments!
