I would like to thank the volunteers that have helped us get over 12,000 papers out on Lakewood streets in 3 days! By today's end we will have all 15,000 on the streets, with another 2,000 being distributed on July 4th.
HOWEVER
As we move The Lakewood Observer another step closer to our goal of a paper at each house, we are looking for people willing to maintain a route every two weeks.
Please drop me an email, and we will figure out your route.

I distributed 300 copies at the Ernie Krivda concert tonight.
Copies went fast, all I had left in car.
I estimate 700-800 could be distributed rather quicky at Sunday concerts.
People really wanted the paper tonight. It was strange how in a crowd, seeing someone else get something, seems to make the other person want one, too.
Mr. Neubert, from the paint company, to whom I had delivered a home copy earlier in the week spotted me and unsolicited had this to say about the paper. "The paper really surprised me. The writing was very good. There was some real meat in there."
It was nice to see a field of people enjoying music, sitting in their chairs with their noses buried in the Lakewood Observer. That scene could make a nice photo.
Dan Brennan mentioned that people come to his flower shop looking for the paper, too.
Of course, the dream is to get the paper to every door. We need to get a more people dedicated to their block and making deliveries. The contact builds the good vibe street by street.
The paper is already generating enough interest that a few strategic street boxes and places like the library could serve copies to people who make the effort to get them.
I think we have moved almost 2000 copies from the library. I put out the last 300 copies on hand at six pm. today. I will track this distribution over the next few issues to see how much goes from the front desk and technology center.
