I didn't see it posted anywhere online, I'm not on facebook, and figured people visiting/reading the LO would be interested in it.

The full length ones are well worth watching all the way through but here are some shortened videos, guessing highlights? If you don't have 1.5 hours check them out.

Re: Lakewood mayoral candidate endorsement interview - cleveland.com
Todd,
Glad to see your return to the Deck.
1. Is this the interview where Summers said he wore "TWO HATS"---one when he was working for LHA and one as Mayor?
2. Help out here: When he stood at the podium on January 15, 2015 next to Tom Gable and Toby Cosgrove and announced the hospital was closing, which hat was he wearing?
3. When he said in December, 2014 that the hospital was not closing, which hat was he wearing?
4. Doesn't Summers also say that he does not want an audit of LHA finances? Which hat was he wearing when he said that?
Glad to see your return to the Deck.

Brian,
Thanks for bumping the post again. It was a very good video to view and the more people that see it the better informed they will be about the issue, check it out it's worth the 1.5 hour of your day.
Take care.

Todd,
No worries. There is no fear of the truth here on the Deck so "Bumping" a post is not an issue.
Here is the legal opinion from the top elections lawyer is the state that verifies the fraud concocted by Summers and Butler last month on the charter amendment.
Like you say, "the more people that see it the better informed they will be about the issue", so pass this along to Jay Carson, Jay Foran and the BL gang on your other sites and report back to us here that you have done so aa good soldier spreading the truth.
Can you man up and concede that the interpretation you promoted last month was bogus?

THANK YOU, Brian Essi for that link to the legal opinion regarding the wording on the ballot issue.
I've NEVER seen people work so hard to subvert democracy and the will of the people as the Team Summers/Build Lakewood Groupies.
I think a fifth grader would understand what the language meant. Only people intent on subversion would work so hard to find and promote such a RIDICULOUS claim against the issue.

How did the discussion change to the wording of the charter amendment? I thought the PD interview was pretty good, I just wish they had mic'd the editorial board so we could hear the questions. My only complaint.

Todd,
No Man Up?
No Referral of Legal opinion to co-conspirators?
I do agree Skindell won that round.

Todd,
Thanks for posting these links. With headphones I was able to hear the editorial board.
At the time of this writing, Part 1 had been viewed 205 times, Part 2 just 107. I certainly hope more voters take the time between now and Election Day to hear directly from BOTH candidates.
I have many questions and concerns after viewing but the biggest surprise was Mayor Summers saying that he had spoken with St. Vincent's in 2011 about taking over hospital operations and that they were not interested. I'm not sure exactly when the RFP went out but I would have expected him to check in again rather than assume years later that there was still no interest. Perhaps nothing would have changed but the lack of follow up on such an important issue is revealing.

Ya not sure why cle.com didn't post it or promote it more it's a good video for everyone to view. I wonder if the speaking with St. Vincent's was just an informal discussion?

Re: Lakewood mayoral candidate endorsement interview - cleveland.com
I love this Summers quote:
"I have 2 hats when I sit at that trustees[sic]. I have a hat as a Trustee with a duty of care for a hospital its patients, its employee and I have a hat that says citizens of Lakewood who are potential patient of this and the economic impact that Mike eluded to are important considerations. Both are in play no question about it."
So Summers is talking through his "TWO HATS" ?

Is it good to have "two hats" on one person, particularly when the goals of the wearer of each of the "two hats" are in conflict?
How does Summers adequately represent the citizens of Lakewood and their interests when he is also controlled by the Cleveland Clinic as a trustee of the Clinic controlled LHA? It was a conflict from day one.

Weeks later, Part 1 is only up to 252 views, Part 2 just 224. I am disappointed that a hospital debate could not be negotiated.todd heckeler wrote:Ya not sure why cle.com didn't post it or promote it more it's a good video for everyone to view. Re: Lakewood mayoral candidate endorsement interview - cleveland.com
Meg,
The St. Vincent''s phone call was well before the RFP. In thirty years of helping people sell businesses I've never see such flimsy efforts to sell or promote such an important pillar of our community. When the national folks write up what a great city we are and a great place to live Lakewood is, they always included the hospital at the top.
Mark Schnieder, candidate for Ward 4 said it best: Do you think that CCF would hire Summers, Gable, Patttob or any of the other fake volunteer trustees to sell a $180 million hospital of theirs? Why should we accept the efforts of these conflicted amateurs?
You may not like my drama, but may I suggest this is very dramatic for the underserved and the folks who will die from something that does not have to happen.
CCF is a "Preditor" within the meaning of the Clayton Act. They LHA Trustees are stooges--nearly everyone has a financial or other interest in the outcome. A '"conspiracy" under the law does not have to be "expressed" among its participants all is required is that they are all working for the same goal. Mike "Two Hats" Summers need not even have known that Toby put a faux CCF crown in his head. To my eye, Summers is as naked a fool as the king in the fairy tale.
