The Build Lakewood mailer arriving in residents' mail boxes is another outright fraud on the people of Lakewood.

This piece of literature takes the cake! All 13 claims are either outright lies or complete perversions of true facts.

I think the ultimate deception is a total absence of individuals or groups who have sponsored this lit.

Usually, a committee or individuals proudly and prominently list their names on an issue or candidate they are promoting.

Absent the required disclaimer who's behind this? I have never, ever witnessed a total phantom, alien, invisible promoter such as this.

Then I admire you because that means you have never, ever seen a national PAC run an ad for a presidential candidate where it is not obvious it was done by a PAC. This is pretty straightforward, IMHO.

Popularized by Big Daddy Roth, Ghoulardi, aka Ernie Anderson picked it up, and cleaned it to to "knif," pronounced kA-nif, a noun.

You asked about "knif" Stan and I answered. It was a turn for a "rat" or "fink" Ghoulardi merely cleaned it up to own it.

As bad as it is, the SLH supporters should take this piece seriously. It may well be the only thing many people see and the one they will believe - as hard as that is for us to believe.

A hard hitting response should follow.

Note that they spent to send it through the mail while SLH's were hand delivered.

The return address on the BL mailer goes back to a 1538 Northland. According to county records, this house is owned by a Ron Petrie. I believe this is the father of Emma Petire-Barcelona, a candidate for Lakewood Board of Education. Has Emma made any statement about her feelings regarding the hospital? I know that Beebe, Shaughnessy, and Einhouse are on the BL team and that Einhouse & Beebe both have BL signs in their yards. I believe that Shaughnessy was also on the mayor's Active Living Task Force for a while.

I invite Emma to come on the Deck and/or put an article in the LO to share her feelings about the hospital. If she is for keeping the hospital, it may behoove her to let people know because her father being on BL could cost her votes.

The BL flier is one of the worst distortions of the fact and truth that I have ever seen, and believe me that I have seen some beauties in my life time.

I don't mind a good debate or some intelligent approach in print to one's side in an argument. But this flier goes far beyond anything I have ever seen.Let's look at the DON'T Save side of the flier:
HIGH COST:
"projected loss of $32-million per year based on Subsidium Healthcare published estimate made in 2013-2014;That amounts to a $600 per Lakewood resident per year," it states. OUTRIGHT LIE. NO ONE IN LAKEWOOD WILL RECEIVE A BILL FOR THAT AMOUNT.
"$91-million in required maintenance and improvements ($2,000 per Lakewood resident". OUTRIGHT LIE..AGAIN NO LAKEWOOD RESIDENT WILL GET A BILL FOR THAT AMOUNT.
'A lawsuit by Save Lakewood Hospital supporters is wasting hundreds of thousands of taxpayer dollars." How much do we pay Kevin Butler as Law Director? The rest of the money, as we have been told is being picked up the defendants in this lawsuit.
This whole matter could have been avoided had Mike Summers, Mary Louise Madigan and Tom Bullock, our city's Hospital Association members stood up to the Clinic and its plan to denigrate our hospital and lose more than 1,100 jobs.
No one to manage hospital if Clinic pulls: OUTRIGHT LIE..Again the truth is no outside healthcare system comes here if the Clinic doesn't provide release from their lease. The Mayor and Council should demand that. But they won't because if they do, there are other system waiting in the wings(that can't be identified because the Clinic would sue them) and their whole ploy to destroy our hospital would blow up in their faces.

We can and we will save Lakewood Hospital and get new leadership at both city hall and the hospital.

Summers should be ashamed of himself! I'm sure the lies don't bother him since he has apparently proven that he has no morals. I wonder if any of our city employees were used during business hours to work on this fraudulent flier? I believe that since Jen Pae seems to spen a good part of her day on social media for Summers, that she should become a part time employee.
