As a resident of Ward 3, I implore those of you who want to save our Hospital to vote for Mark Schneider. I have spoken to him on several occasions, and he is a STAUNCH supporter of keeping our Hospital as a full service, in-patient facility.
On the other hand, Candidate Litten subscribes to the "model of health care is changing" philosophy. He showed up at our block party and was quite clear on his stance, extolling the virtues of the proposed Family Health Center and redevelopment opportunities of the existing Hospital site (which includes proposals to purchase and demolish residential properties on both Belle and Marlowe).
A vote for Litten is a vote against Lakewood Hospital. The Hospital is in our Ward, please do what is necessary to save Lakewood's most valuable asset.

Re: WARD 3 Council Race
As mentioned in another thread, I hope JT Neuffer and Lori Allen stay involved in local politics. They both worked hard.
I'm saddened for JT, who lost his mother during the campaign.

Re: WARD 3 Council Race
I concur. Lori is an outspoken proponent of the Hospital and would have been a wonderful councilperson. She worked the streets tirelessly to get her name out there and her position known.
I didn't know much about JT, other than what he told us on the phone and what he stated on his website were two different things. I feel as though he was trying to play both sides of the issue. That being said, I am sorry to hear about his mother. And, I do give him credit for calling people personally to discuss his stance.
