Yet another way to get a terrible and possibly illegal idea through the masses.
This technique is as old as man could talk, then grab by illusionists the world over.
Misdirection can let you make the biggest things just disappear.
I point out back in December, "Lakewood Hospital Is Closing" instantly the marginalists
descend onto the playing fields, back with a City Hall that prefers miss-truth to truth.
The Mayor and Council President, "The Hospital Is Not Closing!" echoed by hundreds of
parrots from the island of Marginalization. "O'Bryan is lying, he is wrong, he is crazy."
Then we learn not only is the hospital closing, the Mayor and the law director referred
"Mayor Summers Closing Lakewood Hospital" at least ten times in letters to the Ohio
Ethic Commission that came back with real issues and problems.
The Mayor proclaiming our breakdown on the "$120 million in new development" which
was promised came back with Lakewood actually losing $20 million. To which the answer
was, under oath, "The Observer numbers are wrong, I'll prove it." Which was the very last
time we ever heard of $120 million in downtown development. And the parrots chimed in
"The Observer is wrong full of lies..." All hyperbole, ZERO FACTS.
And so it goes, our ethically challenged mayor, supported by parrots that really have no
knowledge of the paperwork, the lawsuit, the contracts, the numbers and the bad deal,
saying, anything negative to blame the messenger.
To all, let me give you a simple hint. If you are not sure, stick to facts that can be backed
up and everyone can agree with. And the question is simple and should be easy to answer.
Does Lakewood deserve honest transparent leadership?
