City Hall? Where are You?

Post by Lori Allen _ »

Good morning!

I have heard that the question and answer period scheduled at tonight's Committee of the Whole meeting had been cancelled. I called city hall this morning a little before 10:00 A.M. to inquire whether or not this statement was true and finally got a hold of someone in Community Development. There was no answer at the Council Office, Community Relations Office, and no answer at the Mayor's Office. I believe city hall hours are 8:00am to 5:00 pm daily. I know that in the council office and Mayor's office, they have more then one person working in them. I feel that someone should be manning the phones.

I also wanted to ask when the city changed our garbage pick-up to seven days a week. In other words, put it out whenever you want. No citations or fines assessed!

They may all be on vacation.

I sent Law Director Kevin M. Butler an email regarding public records requests that he has been sitting on since July 16, 2015, and I received the following response:

Thank you for your e-mail. I'm away until Monday, August 4, 2015. I will have limited access to email and may not be able to respond remotely. You may email law@lakewoodoh.net in my absence, or for an emergency, please call the Law Department at (216) 529-6030.
