Grandmother and Child Hit Crossing Warren Road

Post by Jim O'Bryan »

Around 2:45pm a white van turning north on Warren Road from Franklin, hit a Grandmother
and child, believed to be a 7 year old girl.

The girl was fine, and the grandmother taken to Metro. At the time the
driver was not being held, and was extremely shaken up.

The driver, when I walked up was sitting on the curb, mumbling and saying "It was
awful, I was turning then could suddenly you could see her face as she went under
the car... It was terrible, just terrible, i feel so sorry..."

The photo was basically the third time he broke down. He was sober, and not driving
fast, it all just suddenly happened. He stopped immediately, called the police and
waited in a state of shock over the entire ordeal.

Update later.

Sorry, Jim - I do not feel sorry for this guy . . .every time I'm at that intersection, I watch as people turn without paying attention to the pedestrians in the crosswalk, who by the way HAVE THE RIGHT OF WAY.

People need to pay the F**k attention.
