Fire On Waterbury Closes Down Street

Post by Jim O'Bryan »

Around 9pm the fire department was called to Waterbury Avenue to put out a fire in a house
that had been engulfed in smoke.

After arriving quickly to the house, fire went room to room making sure everyone was out.

After making sure everyone was safe, the smoke was tracked down to a fire in the dryer
in the basement, as some were thought to be drying something when the fire started igniting
oil rags that were near the dryer.

They got the offending dryer to the driveway where it was soaked again.

I an act of love and thanks to Lakewood Fire Department Antoine and Andrew frame the
working firemen, who saved their lives and got that pesky dryer out.

I found out during investigative reporting that Andrew's girlfriend rents the house, as
Andrew said, "Yeah I am the guy that ends up on the couch and in the bed." Antoine
is just a close friend that was stopping by for some fun on a Friday night.

GREAT WORK LAKEWOOD FIRE AND POLICE.

Nothing to see, move along.
