Is It Time To Boycot The Avon Health Center?

Each passing day brings more evidence that the Cleveland Clinics new Avon health center was built with the financial assets, physical assets, customer base, doctors, nurses and professional staff that were the backbone of Lakewood Hospital.

At a recent City Council meeting a representative of the Lakewood Hospital Board stated that once the Lakewood Hospital Foundation was dissolved and put under control of the Cleveland Clinic the new Foundation could offer taxi service to Avon.

Why should an elderly couple in Lakewood be required to take a taxi to Avon to see their doctor and get treatment that was once offered at Lakewood Hospital? (actually happened).

CITY COUNCIL should call for a boycott of the new Avon Hospital and demand that the Clinic restore what that have taken away.
