As the hospital debacle unrolls day after day with more and more of a production worthy
of a movie script, I started to think of all of the various groups that have called me with
amazing offers of help, projects, and beautiful futures if they fall in line with the hospital
and Rec Center err Wellne$$ Center plan.
It has taken on such far-reaching proportions that there is probably not one non-profit that
doesn't have something coming to them; they would be foolish to not support it. Well it
reminded me of another great script, "The Producers."
From Wikipedia...
"The Producers" is a 1968 American satirical dark comedy film written and directed by Mel Brooks. The film is set in the late 1960s and it tells the story of a theatrical producer and an accountant who want to produce a sure-fire Broadway flop. They take more money from investors than they can repay (the shares they've sold total more than 100% of any profits) and plan to abscond to Brazil as soon as the play closes."
Can the Mayor and "yet-to-be-named non-profit"
If it's such a good deal for Lakewood...?
