Did The Cleveland Clinic Overcharge Lakewood For Services?

Note 16 of the 2013 financial statements states:

"The Hospital contracts with the Foundation and its affiliates for certain services in the normal course of business. Expenses include $25.6 million and $24.6 million in 2013 and 2012 respectively for these services".

The charge for those services were 19.25% of unrestricted revenue in 2013 and 18.3 % of unrestricted revenue in 2012.

The charges for those services were 11% of unrestricted revenue in 2009.

Those expenses seem to be listed as administrative services on the financial statements.

I also noticed that the Westlake Imaging Center has been slowly degraded since 2008. Lakewood Hospital received $5.5 million from the imaging center in 2009. The distribution was $300,000 in 2013.
