Lakewood Band In New York Times

A decade of Lakewood High School graduates are once again featured in the New York Times,
X_____X a band featuring LHS Alumni is looked at with an interview of John Morton, class of
1972 and grew up on Kenneth Drive.

The article uses this photo which was shot in Lakewood, next to My Mind's Eye record
store, but against the wall of Sweet Designs.

There are also images from Tom Warren, Class of 1972, and John Morton. In the band were
Craig Bell, class of 70, Jim Ellis class of 71, and Andrew Klimek class of 77.

They also give the Lakewood Band electric eels as the "birth of punk" title, which places
the start of a genre of music right here in Lakewood.
