long we were waiting for news it had been cancelled as line after line of storms threatened
to come through. At 4pm a a violent storm blew through quickly, but it did not stop the
parade or dampen enthusiasm. So at 5:45pm the parade got off, and even on again off
again light drizzle stopped nothing but a couple signs!
Here are some of the nearly 200 photos we took of the parade. The parade was for the
students, the pictures, are for the parents and relatives.

Lakewood Fire Department Engine 3 leads the parade out of Lakewood Park and off to Lakewood High School.

You know sometimes I think these parades are for the School Board, as they are often
the most unruly in the parade. Here School Board Member Ed Favre tries to put my eye
out with a piece of hard candy.

LHS Porsche Club?

I have always loved the Gulf colors on race cars.

The LHS Band takes the field during pre-game.

Even on the first cold rainy night of Autumn, the stands were packed.

The rain did nothing to stop the fun!

After the "Pledge of Allegiance" ...

Game was on!

Well, you have to wait for Mike Deneen's recap of the LHS vs River game, but if you want
to enjoy the parade go to:
