Around 11pm, the Lakewood Police were pulling over a Saab 93 for a traffic stop, when the
driver took off leading police on a chase that lasted over 5 minutes.

The driver turned East on Athens, into Templar Motor Bldg parking lot, out again, east on
Athens, South on Halstead, East on Plover, North on Dowd, West on Thrush, South on Halstead,
East on Plover, North on Dowd, it seemed like about three or four times. More police joined
in the chase which was describe by the police, as a control pursuit, and described by the
residents as "It was crazy they just kept zooming around the block, sirens blaring. At
one point with so many cars and sirens, there was a call to "turn sirens off I can't hear"

Around the fourth of fifth time the driver stop at Halstead and Plover, jumping out of his
car running into some bushes where he was caught.

The bushes the driver dove through to escape police in morning light.

Good work Lakewood Police. It would seem they rarely get away from our Police.
