It all started here!
Eight years ago it all started right here on the deck with an idea and observing others thoughts and comments. We did it and opened a much needed hardware store and you all encouraged and supported us and for that again we would like to thank you by inviting you to stop out this Sunday 7/27 for our customer appreciation day. Together with Cuttin Loose Salon, Vance Music studios, Mama Lola's and TJ's Butcher Block we will have music, companionship, food and fun. Please stop out and allow all of us to say thanks for supporting us, have a bite and enjoy some music.

Re: Lakewood Hardware Customer Appreciation Day TODAY
Lakewood Hardware Customer Appreciation Day Is HERE!!!!

How it was in the beginning. Everyone was telling Glenn Palmer, it is impossible for a
hardware store to exist in this day and age. But Glen, who comes from a long line of
shop owners on Madison, his father owning 3 butchers hops at one time, thought, if
it is done right, by the right people, with the right kind of support, it could.
Today it is impossible to think of Lakewood without Lakewood Hardware, not only does it
fill a great gap in what was needed here, but it takes on a special place in our soul, that
yes, a store run correctly can exist, and do well. Glen has put together a great crew, that
are deep in knowledge, and always happy to see you and help. The support, Glen has earned,
always being there for whoever needed hardware, and ear to bend, a partner on an idea, or
just a the solid anchor on Madison Avenue's Renaissance.

Glenn,
Glad you are here in Lakewood. I wish you continued success.
Thanks to you and all of your event partners for the good food and entertainment today.
Also, thanks for the advice on that casement window crank. I'll bring in photos, and as many parts as I can, so you can help me remedy that problem.

Re: Lakewood Hardware Customer Appreciation Day TODAY
For a remodeling project, I needed an obscure tool (dowel points). I thought a lumber yard would be most likely to have them, so I went to Cleveland Lumber on Madison, which I prefer to Home Depot, etc. Anyway, I looked through their showroom and couldn't find them (I wasn't sure what to call them, but I knew what they did) so I described them to a clerk and he checked and said they didn't, but he thought he knew a place that did. He called Lakewood Hardware and confirmed they were there, so I drove over and got them and finished my project. The amusing part is that I live withing walking distance of Lakewood Hardware, and could have saved gas by going there first.
