Wet, Wet, Wet

Post by Jim O'Bryan »

Rain hit the city this weekend, and that meant for a flooded canyon, and roof leaking!

Image
Detroit Avenue was the backdrop of this image.

Image
A fog enveloped the city, and the rains came!

Image
The usual lazy river got pretty wild.

Image
Down by the boat ramp.

Image
While upstream it was as high as I can remember.

Image
The river getting close to over riding the banks as the Dog Pound and Filtration Plant.

Image
For many their canyon rides ended at Hoggsback Road, where the river had breached the
banks but also was flowing pretty quick.

Image
Grayton Road bridge.

Image
The bridge farther upstream at the Nature Center.

Image
Water actually flowing under this new home!

Image
This is a series of falls in Olmsted Falls, that was flattened by the rain. The stream coming
in on the right is usually dry.

Image
Then yesterday morning the fog and rain, blew out of Lakewood, went through Cleveland...

Image
... and left clear blew skies that will get COLD!

Rumor has a whiter Christmas headed our way!

1.88 inches of rain on top of 3 inches of snow sends the water over the banks closing portions of the roadway.
